I have really been enjoying the Three Things Challenges as started by The Haunted Wordsmith. I am attempting a 100-word story with today’s Three Things, comet, alien, western.

Here is my attempt:

The Comet streaked across the western sky. The children all agreed they saw an explosion and hurried to see what had happened. When they arrived, they saw an alien crawling out of a huge crater in the earth. He looked like no one they’d ever seen, but not like ET, not friendly at all.

Now, The children were frightened.
