WOD Challenge 08-05-21 New Old Clothes

I was overjoyed at the prospect of receiving a bag of new “old” clothes from my sister-in-law Connie today.

We turned it into a whole day of shopping for a birthday gift for my son’s girlfriend who is also about to head off to Spain for a very unique opportunity to be an au pair for a family in Spain.

We shopped, had lunch, and shopped some more, then went by her house for a bit, then back to my house. We had girl talk, touching on my issues with Dad, and I listened as she shared her unemployment blues. It was a great, stress-free, well-deserved break from the world I’ve come to know. One where I see no one but my family and my volunteer group once a week.

When she left and before Dave and I went to dinner for “date” night, I drug the bag of clothes out and looked at every piece. There was enough there to fit something new in every season! Sweaters, sweatshirts, t-shirts, legging shirts, and summer shirts…but not a scarlet one in the bunch! That is ok, as good as red looks on me, I have but one truly scarlet shirt, and it’s meh at best, lol. 😂

Before dinner, I donned a new (to me) summer shirt with a leaf print that matched the earrings I was already wearing!

Sorry this post is late everyone, I had trouble with my iPad last night!
