When I think of a rainy day, I think of getting cozy and either reading or writing. Maybe catching up on indoor projects, most likely not though. Rainy days make me feel creative and therefore productive. That’s how it used to be anyway. Since my dad passed, I’m having a hard time getting my groove back, but I am trying to create a new routine…

This can be difficult when you get interrupted with unexpected phone calls, or you just are not feeling well that day, or errands pop up that must be attended to…but I digress.

Back to rainy days. They are my excuse to shut myself in my office and try to make something happen. If it’s cold in my office, I either bring my laptop into the living room and work there, or I turn on my space heater or throw a blanket over my legs.

Today it is cold with high winds, but no rain. Unfortunately, I am expected to get out and run errands with my hubby, when I could just as easily stay in my blanket cocoon, reading and writing. However, I know its a much better thing for me to get off my butt and move around.

As I was saying earlier, my new routine involves working out so I can close the rings on my Apple Watch, that won’t get done sitting around, no matter how appealing that might sound. 😜
