Writing Prompts

SoCS 7-9-22 So Many Notes!

Over the years as a blogger and student of many different subjects, I have taken notebooks full of notes.

So, handling today’s prompt from Linda G Hill should be a breeze!

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “make a note.” Do with it what you will. Have fun!

Having developed such a good habit must be the driving force behind my obsession to make a note for so many different things, from a poem I don’t want to forget, to legal pads full of notes on everything I’m reading and researching on RVing and life on the road.

When you make a note, taking the time to actually write it down instead of bookmarking something, you tend to remember details more vividly. The problem is keeping track of all those notes! i always have a notepad or something to write on next to me on my end table.

In my office, its easy to get overwhelmed with all the notes I take, so I try to use spiral notebooks per subject. If I use little sticky note pads, they litter my desk. I keep all of these in a folder in my file cabinet drawer. Seems silly, but you never know when those will come in handy.

Don’t get me wrong, I have tons of notes in my reading list or bookmarked as well, but I refer to my written notes more often than those.

What is your take on note taking? Let me know in the comments!

On a personal note, (see what I did there?) we went shopping again today for the elusive perfect RV and have at least one more to go see in Melissa tomorrow. Wish us luck, we are getting so close to a final decision! We have one Class C we loved, and one Class A we looked at a second time because it came back on the market! maybe that means it was meant to be. We’ll seeeeee!!

  1. I’m trying to keep all my notes in one notebook now. I was getting too confused about which notebook was for what and trying to find the various notebooks. It’s not a great method but for the time being it’s what I’m trying…
