I’m calling this week beach week because so far friends Ryan and Jenna and their kids and us enjoyed an afternoon on the beach together yesterday, and tomorrow, Michelle and Kerry arrive, which means more time on the beach!

We knew that little umbrella wasn’t going to cut it on the beach with little ones all day, so we set up our canopy and eventually we all were sitting under it together. Marcus and enjoyed ourselves boogie boarding in the strong waves, he’s really good for 12! Ryan, Jenna and Ruby stayed in the shallow water because she is only 6. We visited and share snacks with each other and had a great time.
We are experiencing extreme heat…unusual for June…so everyone but Dave got a little too much sun. I did good, I had my sunscreen on early but missed the back of my shoulders, so they were slightly toasty but not bad. I feel fine today.
I’ve started walking early before the temp and the heat index go up. It’s so stinking humid the feel-like temperature is about 100 even though the real temperature is 87!! 🥵

We came out of Walmart in Aransas Pass on Monday and this little cutie was on the Jeep’s door handle! I love getting ducked, it makes me feel like I’ve joined the elite Jeep community! So, we ordered a bunch of ducks from Amazon so we can start ducking Jeeps back!! They arrived today and they are adorable! Jeep ducks of every color and style, from animals to characters.

Today we are staying out of the heat for the most part, but went to my favorite coffee shop-Waves-for paninis and gelato.

Today I had a ham and cheese panini and some vanilla and blood orange gelato. I shared with Dave and we both agreed the combo tasted like a dreamsicle. Not as exotic as I usually get but delicious just the same. One of these days, I’ll have to try the coffee 🤣😂.
