Our Final Visitors

well, it’s the middle of June already and yesterday we had the pleasure of seeing Arizona friends, Ken and Diane!

The visit was so short, I failed to get photos. However, she kindly sent me some I could share on the blog!

Ken and Diane going out on a charter boat.
My friends enjoyed a glorious sunrise!
Son Sean and Diane and Ken with their catch.

Oh my, they made good use of the few days they had here in Port Aransas. They enjoyed beach time, kids and grandkids, fishing and more. They saw us in our spot at La Fitte’s for a short visit before heading out to do other things because they had to get up early to get across the ferry for some fishing the flats. They had to be out of their spot by noon. Talk about squeezing in activities until the last possible moment! Safe travels everyone! I hope to see them again on the road or back in Arizona some day!

I use the hot water/scraping method.

It was another scorcher today, so I started the day defrosting the freezer, which we must do quite often. Dave finished up the job, and then we went to run errands. While out, we ate lunch at…you guessed it,,,Waves! Only I skipped the gelato today-even though they had pistachio, because I’m getting a muffin top from too much food and not enough exercise!

We’ve been in the house ever since, staying in the cool air. We did go to have a drink and cool off in the pool for a little but, and had a convo with some people we haven’t met. They live close to our town, and her hubby is a Dallas firefighter. Her name was Angie, but I never caught her husband’s name. Anyway, the pool was like bath water yet still felt good when we got out.

We are done with the spaghetti Dave cooked the other day, that makes three days we ate on it, so tomorrow we are having hamburgers! I love hamburger night! When we do eat out, it’s usually at lunch. We did eat dinner out a couple of the nights Kerry and Michelle were here, but we’ve yet to go to a nightclub. Someday….

  2. Looks like they had a good time. BTW, placing a fan in front of the open freezer is faster and much easier. Just find a way to catch the water.

    1. Thanks for the tip, but inside this motor home, we have a small freezer that would heat up and then take forever to get cold again. I think we were done with our chore in about 30 minutes.
