CMMC Close Up or Macro-Fire

Dave and I take joy in photographing local flowers and fauna around the island. Port Aransas has the coolest plants and flowers, but so did San Diego when we went to visit.

We had been around town today, finally I got him to the art museum, and we stopped a few times to take pictures of these beautiful fire-colored flowers.

I have no idea the name, but they grow freely here in kind of a bushy grouping here and there.
The tops after they’ve seeded.

So, I decided to group several different flowers we’ve seen here that are the same colors.

No as close up, but eerily similar to the first one.
I just love the combo of yellow and orange, making them look like fire.
Same fury orange.
Firework bright flower.
Yellow, orange, yellow with orange pistils.
Orange with yellow tips.
This one is from San Diego. Birds of paradise.
This one is from Arizona.

Now that I know the rules, I will concentrate more closely on macro photography!

  4. Birds of paradise is Christina’s favorite flower! She said that they used grow in
in her grandmom’s garden in the California but she doesn’t understand why they do not grow here in Texas because they are a flower that loves humanity? Do you know why? They sale
them on Amazon and I would buy her one if I knew they were going to be good.

    1. Well, it was in California that we saw them, I’d have to research what, if any, areas they grow in Texas. I’ve not seen any here yet. 😘
