Busy Tasks

Today I had to get my blood work done for next weeks visit with my nephrologist.

I was up early and raring to go so I could get back and have my coffee!

The sun through the trees in the medical district.

Once that was done, we came home and had breakfast, then went back out to get the Jeep inspected and get our new tags.

On the way home, we stopped by At Home and I bought a small fake plant for the new cabinet we bought for Kevin’s bathroom yesterday. I wanted one that draped over the side. I like the cabinet because now all of our stuff is off the counter.

Next, we need to remove that post and hang a towel hook.

Lastly, I’d like to get a couple of cute bathroom pictures and maybe a short curtain to curb all that light. I want to help him decorate his house, but it will be a slow process, because the guys aren’t into picture hanging much, or decorations either.

I hate plain walls, but don’t want clutter either. Him being a bachelor, he’s leaving it up to me! Yea!

Right now, in his living room there is one one picture. He has a fireplace with a brick mantel. I’d love to hang his large cross on the wall, and put a couple of plants and something else manly in the space where the mirror is.

I’m thinking I have the perfect solution, but I’ll need to ask Stephanie’s dad- Lynn- if I can still have what he offered me a few months ago. 😉

Tomorrow, we go to the Dallas Va to get the assessment of Dave’s cancerous spot next to his eye. Will they remove or treat it, hopefully we find that out tomorrow. Say a prayer for him please. Thank you in advance. 🙏😊

  1. Dear Father in heaven, Please let Kim and Dave feel your presence as they go to the doctor. You have promised to be with us All the time, but we don’t always remember that. Guide the doctor to make the best decision about the place near Dave’s eye. Share with Kim and Dave your peace that passes our understanding and give them strong faith to trust you for all their needs. We ask these things, knowing you always hear our prayers and will answer them when the time is right. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

  7. Dad does not remember what he offered you, so let me know because I am sure you can still have if he still has it. I really like the cross above the mantle!

    1. Thanks! Kevin will love that you said that, because he doesn’t want it to be moved. I wanted to put it on the wall and put what your dad offered me…the string art on your fireplace (not sure but I think it was the train) there. But if I can still have the train, I can hang a shelf instead and put it there. ☺️ I’ll ask him when I come to visit! Let me know a good day to visit btw.
