Yesterday afternoon, we joined friends and family at long-time friend Gary Duffek’s house. He always cooks bbq and serves sumptuous sides, and snacks. We dined on bbq ribs, and friends brought such sides as Mexican cornbread, elotes (Mexican street corn), home made Mac and cheese, fruit, and chocolate cake with strawberries on top. I tasted everything but Mac and cheese.
Gary’s pool was surprisingly nice since he has each end of it partially covered. Everyone was in a the pool at one time it seemed, because it was too hot to be anywhere else, but over time, small groups formed as usual.

His yard is set up for entertaining, with lots of covered tables, shady benches, and in the winter, he has the outdoor built in fire feature. We’ve had many a great time at his house with friends and family that sometimes also meets annually for Bass Camp.

I forgot to include Bubba and/or to take a selfie, but I think I have a pic of everyone else that came.
I know it was around 9pm when we left, but we had today to get ready for so stay tuned for round two at Kevin’s house today!
