First Stop on the Trip to NC.

Well, here we are in Benton, Arkansas at JB’s RV Park for the night, a soon to be quiet little spot in the woods. When the tractor goes home for the night after clearing trees to make room for more RV sites that is. He’s literally behind where we are parked for the night, working away.

We got more of an assist and a friendly welcome than some of the bigger RV Parks we’ve been to! $45 for the night is better than staying on the side of the road too! So glad we booked our first few destinations before hand. I had just enough cash to cover us for the night, good thing too as they don’t take cards. The rest of our stopovers were prepaid. Our first destination is Waynesville, where blogger Buddy Anne Mehrling lives. We get to spend a whole week near her house, so lots of time to visit and maybe see a few places she writes about. ☺️

Excuse our filthy windshield from doggie prints!

The trip here would have been smooth sailing all the way had it not been for a 40 minute delay due to a wreck in downtown Dallas. Just one of those things one cannot control when on the road. The above picture is us just headed into Dallas at sunrise. I thought the only complaint I had was the price we paid for a few small items at Buc-ees until as I was writing this post, we discovered our leak under the sink in the kitchen is back! Ugh!

We both have wriggled through drawer openings and under the sink trying to reconnect the pex where someone installed some screwy looking pipe job. It’s like one piece is too long, therefore, we cannot get it to reconnect. It is all the way to the back wall below the sink, making it nearly impossible to reach. For the life of us, we can’t figure out why it was plumbed the way it is. We turned on the water pump, ran water in the sink and no water came out. I took a picture so you can see what I’m talking about. The only thing we can think of is that someone did it that way in case a dishwasher was put in, but there isn’t one. We are baffled at this point. We left it disconnected for a little while to see how much slowly drips out.

The leak is way up behind the piece of wood in the shadow. I somehow crawled under there, through the hole where the bottom drawer goes, to hold the pipe while Dave reached under the sink to twist the fitting that comes loose. The main pipes under the sink should have been enough, what is all that pex for anyway?

Anyone with the solution to our strange problem is welcome to pipe up. 😉

Of course, working in such a tight place, I was very nervous Dave would hit his forehead and injure where his surgery was done. He didn’t.

There have only been a few drops drip in the bowl so far, so again, we are stumped.
