Craft Time

I haven’t been doing much in the way of activities because of my back, but yesterday I went and got the activities calendar and saw that today was making ugly sweaters ornaments day.

I started the day with a walk around, since first thing in the morning is when my back feels the best. I passed the office and noticed this cool monument.

A Monument to the fallen soldiers.

I’m still walking off kilter, but I’m moving. When I got back, we just hung out until it was time to go the class at noon.

It was fun! We cut out two felt pieces and decorated the front. We were on our own to what we liked and Heather had everything from sequins to beads to help us along. So many cute ideas were floating around. I did my first one with Rudolph and decorative sequins. I trimmed it in white thread, not a great job, but then they are supposed to be “ugly” sweaters.

My first sweater.

We could do a second if we wanted and I took so long doing the first, I was the last one to leave!

the first one got a real hanger that Heather made and the second one was hung using twine.

Of course I had to do a somewhat beachy theme.

After the class we took a picture holding our crafts and then we got a cookie made by one of the ladies. They were also decorated like ugly sweaters!

Aren’t they adorable?

I have also been working on my currant Diamond Art project, made so much easier by my new light! I didn’t work on it today, but the night is young!

When we start decorating the RV, I’ll hang my cute little ornaments somewhere and take a picture! Happy crafting everyone! I hope you give these ugly sweaters a try!

      1. I’m just adding the DP to all the knitting, a different position for hands and body. Thank goodness for the stationary bike to move a little.

      2. Yeah, it is frustrating and dealing with the VA in general is too. It is not as efficient as Ft Worth and Dallas. Oh well.
