Do you like to wear dangle type earrings, or are you more prone to studs?
Well, I like dangles! If they sparkle, all the better! I’m wearing dangles right now!
I happen to have my tool bag with me from when I used to make jewelry, so I decided with all this downtime, I’d make my new sister and her daughter a couple of pairs each. While I’m at it, might as well make some for myself too, amiright?
Unfortunately, I have a limited supply of beads and crystals, and some of the other components that I need. So excuse me if the examples look similar. Workin with what I got, ya know?
As I was working, I noticed I had some faulty components. Head pins that the heads are so small, the components fall off the end.
Beads that are only half drilled through. Wth?
Other beads that are drilled on the edges. Then I remembered that these are usually used for bracelets.
I showed the examples plus a couple more I made today to the ladies and they picked two each that they liked. I love to make and give gifts.

Earrings aren’t hard to make, and don’t take a lot of time. With more practice wire wrapping, I’d like to wire wrap some of the stones I’ve tumbled and make some earrings or pendants with those. Tomorrow, I plan to order more pliable wire so I can practice wrapping stones. So many things can be made with these!
I have to tell you, I felt so much better today, I actually drove myself to get my hair done! I had a cut and color, and this hairdresser did not use bleach. She said that the bleach my normal lady uses was causing it to break off. She also used toner so it’s much less brassy than the last time I got it done.
