What’s Fun for Me?

List five things you do for fun.

Since traveling across the US is our new lifestyle, I’d have to say number one is visiting new places and seeing new things.

When we are parked at resorts, I like to be involved in lots of activities. Playing games like Bingo, Bunco, and Mexican Train for a few.

It may sound boring to some, but I actually enjoy going to museums, learning new things, and any trip involving animals is always fun.

Speaking of animals, visiting zoos and animal sanctuaries in most cities we visit is fun for both of us.

Any time I get to gather with friends, listen to music, and visit all night is fun. It hasn’t happened in a while, but I’m looking forward to some warm nights, so maybe soon.

Now for some other news:

The spine šurgeon does not feel surgery is warranted at this time. The plan is to stay on my current meds, go ahead with the planned nerve block injection in Feb 6th, and do my own pt in the form of slow walks and lots of pool time, as well as applying heat when needed.

The pain doc called me soon after leaving the VA and said all that sounded good to him, however, since I will experience ups and downs with this condition, when I get back tonFt Worth, he suggested that I get a second opinion on the šurgery.

Let’s hope I am much better by then!

  2. I really hope you don’t need surgery, but injection/blocks & pain meds, I’m hoping aren’t for a long time as well. *Sighs* The spine is such a delicate body part to be tampering with.

I cannot tell you the number of MRIs and CT scans I schedule each day.

    1. True, and part of me was relieved but the other part still had more questions.

      1. I think I was so stunned at the good news that I forgot all my questions. I was glad the pain doc called once he saw the surgeons note and told me to get a second opinion when I get Home.
