Short-Timer

Well, our days are limited here in Florida and due to a recent cool front (last night) so is pool time! Shoulda, woulda, coulda yesterday!

We still had so much to see and do, but Dave starts wanting to get things ready a week before we leave, which is Monday morning. It’s going to stay cool until we leave now, so many of those things probably won’t happen.

This morning he knocked over the dogs water and went into a rage, right at breakfast time. Why he loses his temper like that is beyond me, but he does. I always give him a look, and then tell him he shouldn’t do that, it’s not healthy.

He was fine by end of the meal, but I don’t dare try to help him when he gets like that, just let him clean up his mess by himself. Anyway, he mumbled something about living in a cracker box, so I’m hoping he isn’t tired of the way we live. I’m not ready to stop yet.

i took a hot walk yesterday and snapped this interesting photo.

Not sure if it’s growing or put there by someone else.

Its a rose in a tangle of dead branches. There was another on the ground. A mystery indeed!

Some kind lady brought me some air plants a couple of days ago, so I made another holder for them. One went in my macrame holder already hanging in my room. It had space for two, how fortunate! Then one went in the windshield area of the bus, hung from the rod holding the useless sunshade. But this is my favorite, the one I made yesterday and hung from the underneath my cabinet.

I didn’t know if a command hook would work for this, but with wire you can do anything!

I made a hook with the wire and then attached it to the hook provided on the command strip. The plant was attached to the wood, but I removed it so it can be more easily watered.

I have no idea where she got them, they seemed pretty dry, but hopefully I can baby them back to life! I love air plants and the ability to have these tiny beauties in my home!

Welp, I have work to do and a shower to take, so I’m outta here for now. I hope we can make the most of the week weave left, with new friends and with my sister too! I haven’t seen much of her because she has been suffering from kidney stones, hospitalized, and back to work twice in less than a month!

Terrific Tuesday everyone!

      1. Thank you, Dan! Without the generator, we are praying the weather stays on the cool side til we can get her home and in the shop 😉 Or he may store it and try again to fix it himself, but I doubt it. After two days of trying, he just gave up. Best leave it to the pros I guess.

  4. So I have had this blog in my inbox for a week with the anticipation of commenting to you just now am getting around to it! I was just going to tell you that I think a lot of men have similar issues with their temper. My dad is so much the same and I say the exact same thing you do in the fact that “it is not healthy”. Hope that things have settled and the temper as calm down.

    1. Oh yes, he always calms down! Most of the time he realizes the fits he throws are about him being mad at himself…he either makes a mess, breaks something, or hurts himself-thats when he throws fits. None are ever directed at me. I can’t wait to fix the issues on the bus that really bother him like that tv that he keeps hitting his head on is coming out!!!

      1. It long time my mom told me that when her and my dad were dating he got dressed to go out with my mom. He set down for dinner at home, and asked his sister to pass him the gravy. As she did she accidentally spilled the gravy bowl on him. It went all over his pants. I do not know if he said something, but he ended up punching a hole in the wall. So he changed real quick and left. When he got to moms house bad he felt bad for what he did any told mom. She made him go back home and apologize for what he did. And she said that she also told him that if that ever happens when they’re married it will only happen once. It never happened on my watch. But when we lived here he was hanging a picture and one of the glass hummingbirds fell and broke so he decided it would just smash it in many pieces. He does himself sometimes to. It seems to have gotten worse with mom gone, and the fact that he is getting older and having more issues (arthritis, knee and back pain, etc.).
