The Eclipse is All the News!

You can’t turn on any news channel today not hyping up the eclipse! I get that it’s exciting and all but really? Of course I want to see it also, since we are in the direct path, but was not able to obtain any glasses in time. I guess i could make my own with this handy infographic.

In my world, I had my appointment At the VA Friday, and I’ll have one with my nephrologist today, probably for the last time, unfortunately. It makes more sense to transfer my healthcare totally to the VA. I hate to lose him, because we’ve had a long relationship and I just love him. We no longer have insurance though, so…

When I went to my appointment Friday, they decided to add another blood pressure medication to my lisinopril, as it wasn’t working well enough. Also, they want to set up physical therapy and I have a consult in Dallas to speak to another neurosurgeon about my back.

(sorry if I’ve mentioned all this before)

Kevin’s birthday dinner was nice, we had Chris and Becky also came because I invited her and Dave, Kevin and I really enjoyed the day seeing them both. We all have him a card, which we read after dinner. There was no decorations or fanfare, no cake but lots and lots of dessert choices! He turned the big 60, but wasn’t bothered at all. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures.

Becky was about to make another life changing decision and we all helped her make it. It had to do with her job, and ultimately her future. She and Chris are just friends now, and he weighed in with his advice, which we hope he needs himself! These kids! They don’t know when they are being taken advantage of, and need to make serious changes!

To me, all of the above are way more important than the eclipse, but for those of you who are super pumped about it, carry on!! If i miss it, it won’t change my life in the least! Yet, a part of me still has fomo, so I probably will! 😉😜

  1. We’re not in the totality path, but our daughter got some nice photos of what we experienced here. Sounds like you have plenty of other things on your plate.

  2. We watched the eclipse by reflection on a phone and by reflection in a bucket of water. We were greatly hampered by lots of heavy clouds obscuring the sun.
