Hey everyone!
I’ve been meaning to go back and show you this link to explain what all is involved if you ever plan to visit the Cliff Dwellings in Mesa Verde National Park.
Click on the word “link” to see the page and get a feel for the strenuous exercise you will need to be ready for.
After reading the page, I’m sure you will understand better why we weren’t able to fully enjoy the experience.
Heck, I’m just now, after a month of being here at Echo Basin RV Resort, able to walk up the hill after trekking down to the office without having to stop and catch my breath!
Today we walked the “long” walk, down the access road (remember, no roads are paved here) to the main road-at least there’s a beautiful view-then to the office to check mail, and back up the hill to our site.

You may have to enlarge for detail. We are walking down the main road about to enter the park at the main entrance, which is on the left. Ignore the package of timbers in the street. They are for fencing the property across from our park.
And now for a few random photos I took last week before all of our thunderstorms.

Also, on the way back from Cortez today, I took a pic of the mountain range that the national park is in. There was no snow on these Mts when we got here, but I bet come the winter there will be.

I love these mountains and how the view changes depending on your location. If you are coming down the mountain from where we are (the Platos Mts) you can see the image of the sleeping Ute.
I’ll try to get a picture next time we go into town.
