John is back from Africa, praise God! Not that I dislike pastor Troy, he does a great job. But John is our head pastor and he made the trip with his wife and several other church members and I’m grateful they all made it back safely. One never knows where danger lurks these days.
They visited three countries in three weeks; Uganda, Rwanda, and Barundy. It was an amazing mission trip he said, and through church donations, they were able to give 150 pastors and their wives Bibles!! Praise God again!
The message today comes from Colossians 2:6-10 and speaks on the subject of wanting more.
Have you ever finished a good meal and thought, “I want a little something extra, something sweet.”
Well, the Bible teaches us that we don’t need false doctrines that are so popular today, or astrology, or even idols like the ones sports and entertainment can provide.
Continue to be rooted in Jesus who gave us His all so that you may enter His kingdom some day. He provides everything we need!!
Stay the course in your sanctification lest you lose the progress you’ve made in your spiritual journey. Know and recognize your spiritual gifts so you can offer them in service to Christ.
Did you know that Christianity is the only faith that teaches that God came to save us?
Do not believe false teachings like the philosophy that we come from nothingness. There are too many places in the scriptures that show prayer being answered believe its a “coincidence”. Be thankful and grateful that because Jesus saved us from our continual sin, we don’t have Hell -the lake of fire- to look forward to.
And when you get a gift, just know its icing on the cake, or what my dad called “laniappe” because we deserve nothing!
Colossians 2:8-10 says You already have the best, don’t settle for less!
God is the highest deity, over the spiritual as well as the physical world. All things are possible with Him!
