The Sunday Message

My current study is on Samuel -the first book and all about David. I thought I knew the story, but I didn’t know the half of it. He didn’t just slay a giant and he wasn’t just another King in the Bible.
He was chosen by God when Saul-who was the anointed king-turned his back on Him. David made mistakes. But God forgives and he gave David, and Saul for that matter, second chances. It’s up to you wether you will obey.
I’m learning that the Bible is the best book ever written, and why that is so. It is the ultimate story of all stories! There is everything from love stories to espionage, from courage, love, and grace, to murder, savagery, and jealousy.i believe everything is covered in this book.
Are some books more challenging than others? Yes. Yet, you have to read the entire thing to make it make any sense. And if I didn’t follow each chapter with the Verse by Verse ministry on it, I would be reading gibberish.. Maybe by the time I’m done and ready to start all over, I will understand it much better.
I am learning that it’s the truth that the more you are in His word, the closer your relationship feels. I don’t know God, but I know who He is, what He does, and what He has done for me. I’m working on what praising Him looks like, and how to get better at it. Im very excited that House of David on Amazon Prime is out right now! The timing is perfect.
Lastly, I need to ask for prayer again with Stephanie and Lynn, her dad. His tumor is pushing on his lungs and he needs relief. He’s to have a test soon to make sure no cancer has spread to his brain. Please join me in praying for that. 🙏🙏 He goes in tomorrow for orientation to radiation /chemo.
