Yesterday was my birthday and I though that Dave had forgotten it so I was “off” my game all day. I actually did a drawing but it was so horrible, I wouldn’t share it.

When Dave got home, he kissed me and told me he felt like the biggest fool and then I felt bad for him. He had it in his head all day that my birthday was today, so he had planned a whole thing. Anyway, all was good and we went out to dinner.

Today, I forgot that he’s home early but I didn’t let that stop me. We went running around for a bit, came home and ate lunch and then he was watching golf, so I put in my ear buds and got to work.

Hopefully I get a pass for missing a day, since I was a bit vaclempt yesterday. 😌

I am truly blessed with so many good friends, Facebook pals, and blogger buddies that wished me a happy birthday plus two out of three of my boys. Sean was very busy and has some problems he’s working through, so he gets grace for not calling me.

By the way, we went back to Juanita’s Fish Camp last night because the place I wanted to try -Spanky’s- was chocker-block full of cars! I told Dave though that Juanita’s may easily become our new “Frijole’s” because it’s so delicious. I’m sure it gets very lively on the weekends and in the summer.

I enjoyed tuna steak, salad and squash while Dave munched on redfish tacos. We were full to the brim at about the halfway point and just ate our leftovers for lunch. We did the same last time we were there. That tells you about the portion sizes.

I have some other pics to share that are unrelated to anything here but I don’t want time to get away from me, so I’ll put them in a gallery and caption them.

I was so happy that I brought my Dash waffle iron, so I went and got lots of grated cheeses and made some chaffles. I have to get off bread and sugar again and these will help me do that. Neighbor Jim visits me sometimes and last time he brought me some ivy cuttings! He’s the sweetest!

Dave put my couch console table together and I hope he enjoys building furniture because our new desk came today! Slowly but surely, I’ll get this house furnished. 😁 My money, his money, and our money, lol!
