A Lifelong Issue for Me

Today’s practice tangle.

Seems I jumped the gun on the whole zentangle thing. I was supposed to spend some time practicing basic shapes and I learned this by visiting this link.

So I did the five basic shapes and read some of his tips, but need to do lots more. This is why you can get frustrated.

In other news that I didn’t already cover yesterday, Dave and I went to Louisiana Saturday, partly to look at mowers because their Lowes is closer than any in Mid-county, and partly to visit the Horseshoe casino (what used to be Isle of Capri before the last hurricane destroyed it).

We got a new mower, yea! Now he won’t feel bad letting Jim mow our yard, not that he mind one bit, it’s just Dave. He likes to mow, and he doesn’t like others doing “his” job. I think it’s silly, but that’s just me. Everything we buy while we are here we will have to move or sell.

I was figuring on us being here for three years at least, but if we get things knocked out earlier than that, we will be ready to go back to our old life. It’s a wait and see kind of deal, but if you thought you were going to be renting a place for three years, wouldn’t you want to be comfortable?

It is a three bedroom duplex, and we still have two rooms empty. Every time I mention getting bedroom furniture he reminds me we have to move or sell everything we buy here. 😐

Anyhoo, there’s some fun light fixtures from the casino and one from Juanita’s Fish Camp…yes, we ate there again 🤣

Juanita’s is an eclectic place. Good food and lots of signage.

I was out of healthy snacks (sweets) so I made a few fat bombs to tide me over this week after I made Daves egg cups. I need to make more chaffles as well. They take a lot of cheese and eggs though. I hate to keep using up all our groceries making chaffles just so I can have a form of “legal” bread.

Lastly, it was quite foggy this morning. We have that a LOT here.

I got a new spinner but you can’t see it well and I need to figure out why it’s not 3d like its supposed to be. It came with a battery to spin it, which I though was wild. Isn’t the wind supposed to do that? Haha. Well, my plant perked up. I thought it was a goner.

Same with my ivy. I think the water here is killing my plants. I’ve been changing the water in the jar frequently and they are still dying. Idk.

I had more to say but I’m rambling now so it can wait. Oh, from up top-ive always jumped into things like I know what I’m doing instead of practicing first. My creative juices take over I guess and I’m ready to go! I have to learn to slow down and enjoy the process. 😌
