This is the first year of super cold temps since I’ve been here in Texas and my biggest worry is my pool. It runs all the time like it should to keep from freezing, but in past years it has only gotten down in the mid 20’s for just a short period of time. Now…now it’s getting into the Ohio range of temp’s for this time of year down near zero and wind chills in the minus numbers.
Have you had any pool problems when the temp’s get that low? Moving water normally doesn’t freeze, but even rivers that move quite a large volume of water freeze when the temps are super low for long periods of time. By my calculations (per the weather guys predictions) we still have around 140 hours of sub-zero cold before it warms up again.
Anyone want to buy a pool? I might even pay you to take it off my hands. 😂
Is it above ground? If not, maybe ok. Just keep that pump running 😉

The pumps have been running when we have power…its been out twice today for two hours each time. Rolling blackouts maybe?
