SoCS Saturday So Far

Linda writes & I copy paste: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “the last thing you filled.” Think about the last thing you filled or the contents you filled it with and use one or both of those things as your prompt. Enjoy!

The last thing I filled was my coffee cup this morning! Then I proceeded to check emails, do the Saturday crossword from The Morning Brew, and after that I went outside to wash my rocks. It’s near the last stage now! A couple of washings and I’ll be ready for polishing stage! So happy to be almost done so I can do it all over again with new rocks.

Since my oldest is down here with friends, we decided to take a drive down the beach and see if we had any space to squeeze in next to them. They weren’t even there! So we drove by his rental and they were not even up yet-that was at noon, y’all! 🤣😂 Only my generation Can party at night and get up at the crack of dawn to go to the beach early, lol. However, we have been on a pretty tame schedule since being here, until friends Kerry and Michelle get here next week.

When we got back from doing that, checking mail, and getting ice…Dave filled the ice chest , not me-we came home to grab some lunch and relax before we do whatever comes next.

Yogurt, apple, and mixed nuts.

I’m giving the bread a break today…except I had a tortilla at breakfast. Dave’s taquitos are the best!

If no one comes up with a plan for the day soon, I’ll be filling my floaty with air and taking it to the dang pool soon! It’s a hot one today. 87 degrees with a “feels like” temp of 95! Red flag day at the beach, so no good for floating or fishing. Dave is watching golf, so you decide where am I going to end up? 🤣😂

    1. Haha, I was just kidding about that, our little pool here at the resort is way to small unless I’m there by myself. Which is rare now that all the summer folks are here.

  4. I hope you are also able to park your bus under a beautiful big tree, like the photo above your heading (I love that photo!), for a cool refuge in your bus.

    1. It here sadly. It was taken in a different part of Texas when we first started out. I loved the twisted trunk and that’s where I got my name 😉
