SoCS-Soon We Will Go

Linda has given us a new prompt and HERE are the rules if you want to join in the weekly fun.

Soon, we will be leaving again, maybe by next Wednesday or Thursday. I had hoped for Monday, but friends wanted us to stay a bit longer so we could meet up one more time.

Dave is feeling better, got his stitches out, but still has much healing to do. I don’t think I’ll have to fight him to be careful and take care of his wound. The forehead ones are almost gone now, but the place nearest his eye still looks red and angry, it will take the longest to heal. He is ready to be on the move again as well.

We are still waiting for the bottom part of our ladder to come in and the guys at the RV shop are aware. Hopefully we get that soon. I’m over my horrid UTI and want to keep it that way. I’m also over taking my bp every other day and having to keep a diary, but the Dr probably won’t let me stop yet. It’s still all over the place.

Actually heading to Waynesville, NC.

I’m so ready to explore N. Carolina, S. Carolina and whatever else we encounter the trip toward Florida will entail. Ready to be back in our own bed, but dreading being back to our old furniture. We didn’t have time or money to replace it yet. Oh, well. Dave needs to finish healing up anyway. He is not supposed to lift anything heavy or do strenuous work until he has, or he could rupture the wound.

Have a cozy weekend, may be time to fire up the fireplace soon. My brother says we’ll probably be here for the first fire if the season. Have a spooky good weekend everyone! 👻

Oops! I almost forgot the song I wanted to include. Here it is (hopefully).

      2. Awesome 👏🏻 Now my job will be finding and booking places along our route and finally near you! I May get the América the Beautiful pass so we can stay in state parks for overnights, that is much cheaper than RV Parks. W will work something out for sure. I Can always dress in layers and my extra fat I’ve put on will keep me warm, lol! Food is just too good lately!

  3. I am so glad to hear that Dave is making good progress at the healing is doing great! My toe is looking pretty much healed! I soaked it in salt for 2 weeks, morning and night. Then for another 2 weeks I soaked and in antibacterial soap, morning and night. Then for 5 days he had me put iodine on it! That did the trick of taking away the redness and stuff.! Not to say that that is what Dave needs, but I was so surprised! Is there someone that you are going to see or are you just seeing what is out there? I am so excited for you both? Maybe sometime this coming week we could manage a breakfast with the 2 of you?

    1. We’ll try to work that out, that would be lovely!
Dave heals more each day and isn’t embarrassed to go out now, despite the scarring. In time, they will fade but the memories won’t. He went through quite an ordeal, I don’t recommend it to anyone. He is so strong!! Now I need to bubble wrap the bus so he can’t hit his head and break it back open, lol. Or bubble wrap him!!

I forgot to tell you that yes! We are going to meet one of my blogger buddies in N.Carolina and then as we make our way down the east coast I have half sisters to see, cousins too. When we get to Florida, I’ll be meeting the sister that mom gave up for adoption for the first time! Barbara. She lives in Jupiter, Fla.

      4. I cannot wait, we even get to spend a week there! And, I may have secured us at least a one month spot in Fla for Dec1-31!! We were having a time finding anything close to where my have sister lives in Jupiter. I’ve never met her so I’m also really excited about that!
Sorry we could fit breakfast in, we are leaving Thursday morning. Maybe next time we come home. ☺️
