Lets see, I’m behind, so I need to cover D and E!!
We are feeling very disorganized, shall I give you an insight to the way our minds are working at the moment?
D could be for Denver, if that is the direction we want to go, which is also based on what the VA has in store for me now that they know what a hot mess my back is. It makes it hard to book a site, and on top of that, we’ve been considering other options.
E could be for East Texas ( Southeast, more than likely) if we decide to go that direction, find a forever home, and take some time off to do what all that would entail.
Just to let you know our other considerable options are 1). Keep the bus and rehab it like we want it; change the flooring, throw away our living room furniture for new and get that installed, possibly change the cosmetics a bit.
2). Look at fifth wheels and trucks. In that case, we’d get the bus out of the shop and get it ready to sell, buy a used fifth wheel and truck and all that would entail. Or see what a trade in would get us.
Weve been at the VA two days in a row, once for Dave then for me. I will have several more trips to try and schedule for the month we are here, maybe extending into May. 😏 I’m not excited about the idea, but my health and Dave’s is the most important matter above all else.
I confronted him this morning and asked him why he seems so unhappy. To me he is holding back, not wanting to say what’s bothering him, but I know my man, and something is worrying him. He’s had a lot to carry the last three months, so I told him if he wants to take some time off, go look at a house he saw down at the coast and stay there as long as it would take to buy it (if available) that might make him happy?
Or, we could stick with our current plan, no matter how long it takes, head to Denver afterward, then move on to Nc, Sc, and back to Fla for the winter. Lord knows it’s a lot to consider and plan for. Then there’s pain-in-the-rear me. I need physical therapy, another consult with a neurosurgeon, (in Dallas) and had a change of medication for my uncontrolled blood pressure. We still want to avoid surgery if at all possible, but we will wait to see what Dallas says.
As I write all this, I’m so tired, because we were up all night with a sick to her stomach Whiskey. She still seems subdued today, but has eaten a little bit, and she is drinking water. So just gonna watch, and I may go take a nap!
A final note, I got ducked again at Home Depot the other day, so here is a parting shot of the cute little devil.
