At 4am, my baby left to go back to the Carolinas.
Of course, my hubby got up at that awful hour to drive him to the airport, which in turn, woke me up. That was ok, because I got one more long hug goodbye from Christopher.
Soon, he will be back to shuttling between the states doing four different projects and whatever else gets dumped on him. Hopefully, no more hurricanes cause him havoc, he is busy enough!
I tried to go back to sleep, but it was to no avail. I figured why not get an early start then, and got up to make myself some coffee and settled in for my Bible study.
After that, I read my emails and blogs. By the time I was done, I was finally sleepy. Or so I thought.
Suffice it to say, I’ll probably drag through my day but hey, the laundry is already done!
Like the Styx song says, “I got nothing to do and all day to do it!”
Yesterday was a different story. I had to go to the dentist and have a cap replaced that popped of during dinner the other night. Evidently, Twizzlers are more sticky than I remember. The previous day, after eating one out of the leftover Halloween candy bowl, I thought I felt that cap kind of lift up.
Sure enough, the next day as I took my first bite of Davids’s delicious enchilada casserole-in front of company no less-my cap fell off. 😣 (Naz had come over for Sunday dinner and Sean was there too).
$373 later, I have it cemented back on, plus another X-ray of the tooth that’s been bothering me on the left side of my mouth. I got an even higher estimate of what a root canal would cost. So, I will suffer with it a bit longer, because I have neither $2,500 nor $3,000+ to fix it.
We still have to get the dogs to the vet and that will be another $300+ to get their shots and flea preventative.
I’m guessing we will also be gone again ourselves soon, so we can go spend a few days exploring the Toledo Bend area, looking at some houses before we head east to Florida.
Until then, we still have friends and family members we haven’t caught up with yet. 😉
