Time once again for #SoCS where our hostess with the mostest, Linda G Hill writes and I copy/paste “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “starts with ‘under.’” Find a word that starts with “under” and use it in your post. Enjoy!“

Afternoon and welcome to another Saturday where we tackle the prompt. You might expect that I’d be under the weather after last night’s exploits with my bestie Michelle, but I was up at a respectable hour this morning.

We went to see Linkin Park who was joined by Helmet, Bad Omens and another act whom I didn’t know but he was ok.
First, we went for snacks and beverages at the restaurant that just so happened (a surprise to us) to be the home of the frozen margarita! They actually invented the whole concept. And man, did they deliver! We dined at Marianos Cantina in Arlington since we were very early. We had time to relax and enjoy, talk and catch up.
We saw the concert at Globe Life Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of our Texas Rangers and other sports and entertainment. Weather was ugly outside under storm watches and we got caught in a small bit of rain, but whatever the storms were doing after we checked in, we never heard.
I don’t expect you to understand my musical taste, just trust me when I say Linkin Park-with their new lead singer, a female, (Emily Armstrong ) rocked the house last night. (not to imply females can’t rock out, just didn’t expect that LinKin Park would replace the iconic Chester Bennington that way) I won’t share any videos here, but there are some on Facebook.

Underneath the closed-in roof, the lights, lasers, and booming sound assaulted our senses, and occasionally brought us out of our chairs to stand, cheer, scream, and sing along. The light show was so vivid, bright, pulsating, strobing and every other adjective I can think of that it would not be good for those prone to seizures. We felt a bit sensitive to light and sound this morning, and last night, it was difficult to fall asleep until my body stopped vibrating.
It was easily the loudest concert I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a ton of them. My ears are still ringing.
I hate to admit it, but I may be getting too old for this stuff! 😜
