Today, Linda has given us a new thing to ponder with this:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “bulk.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!
With our lifestyle, we can’t shop at big box stores like Sam’s the way we might have when we lived in a house.
The only things we buy in bulk are cases of water, and boxes of K-cups. The water fits on the floor behind the driver’s seat, the coffee pods get divided up between bowls, baskets and what’s left goes in a cabinet.
It’s getting close to that time where we need to do just that. Go to Sam’s or Costco and get a new box of K-cups. I’ve never shopped as Costco, but I have friends in the park that promised we could go sometime.
Dave doesn’t really like to travel as far as Sam’s, so he said we could make do with a box from Walmart in a pinch. At Sam’s, we can get a box of 100 K-cups for around $30. That is good for us, since we only drink one cup of coffee each a day.
To me, it is so wasteful to keep buying water in bulk, when we could buy and install a good water filter. I’ve mentioned this, but it must be a pain to do because Dave prefers to keep buying water.
I go through a ton of water a day. I drink it all day in one form or another, yet we keep on keeping on this way. 😉
