The Fish House

Last night, I finally got to spend a little time with my sister Barb and her hubby Frank.

We had a lovely hour or so to dine on delicious seafood and catch up, since I haven’t seen her since before Christmas!

David had a yummy seafood pasta bowl and I had mahi fish tacos and mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar and cinnamon. I had the leftovers for lunch today!

Frank also had the bowl and Barb had some kind of salmon salad with beets. She teased that she was fed up and might drink a bottle of wine, but she only had a couple of glasses.

Luckily, I brought her a bottle that was meant for a Christmas gift, so maybe she had some of it when she went home. On the bottle, I had given her a gift with an ode to my sister that I think I got at Hallmark. I hope she loved it.

She is so ready to retire! Work is crazy and the progress on the kitchen rehab is slow (poor Frank) so they are going to take a little side trip to Biloxi to see some family.
She cant really retire until next year, when she starts recieving her social security.

I wish I would have taken a picture, but as usual, I was running my mouth too much to think of it. We get so little time, we both had a ton to talk about. I so hope and pray that Chris is able to come for a visit, so we can squeeze time in for him to meet them. They will love him.

Katie, that adorable daughter of hers, has some kind of dance competition coming up, so following the trip to Biloxi, Barb will travel to St Augustine, to see that. She also wants to visit more of the area while they are there.

Once all that traveling is done, hopefully she will be in the right frame of mind to go back to work. 😉

The loveable cut up, Frank.

Thank goodness, Barb got a pic of Frank, or I’d have nothing to share! Bless you, Barb!
