Ever have one of those days when nothing you planned seems to happen? Well, I have, and then today was just another of them.
Friday I had gone by city hall again and picked up more resource material for locating churches, parks, volunteer opportunities, etc. So I was going through those this morning and decided I would go for a walk in the park and then maybe go get my nails done. All my polish I put on week before last was peeling off.
What really happened was halfway through my walk my hips started to tighten, so I cut through to the other side of the oval track and made a beeline to the car. It’s ok, I got half the days steps in before the next thing that happened.

The nail place I chose just happened to be in Walmart, so I headed there next, noting the different churches on the way. None were Bible churches, but Church of God, a Baptist church, and a Presbyterian church ⛪. There’s so many more here, those were just on the route I took.
Anyhoo, I walk into Walmart and boom! Nail shop is closed until Thursday. So I realize I need a few things. That quickly turned into a about 15 items! However w can we go so frequently and still need so much? 🤭
Needless to say, I gave up on the nails for today and came home and immediately cooked egg cups from scratch for David for his breakfast -just like I used to. ☺️ I hope they are good, it’s been a while and I just let muscle memory take over, no recipe.
I made a crude map to show you 1. Where we live now-Orange
2. Where Dave works-Vidor
3. Where we used to live- Groves
It’s kind of funny, its exactly the opposite direction from where we used to live. What translates in my mind is nothing like the truth the map shows, lol.

Pinehurst is said d just like its spelled, btw, but Siri calls it Pin-eh-hurst. 😂
I did get a little work during ne. I wrote a story for Short Reads and had lost it. It took a god hour of searching through every file on my iPad and then downloading it again to a new locale, but I finally got it done and submitted!
It probably won’t win but I’m proud of it anyway be a its an example of an abecedarian or alphabet story challenge. Each sentence starts with the next letter of the alphabet- in order. Start with A and write 26 cohesive sentences. It doesn’t get to kard until you get to x, y, z. It’s super fun and I’ve done two now, but I didn’t turn the first one in.
Im sitting on my bed as I write this, one dog at the end of the bed, one under the bed. There’s my view.

Guess you’d have to be here. 😌 Happy Tuesday everyone!
