1 Thessalonians 4:7-13 Us vs Them

After visiting Beacon Baptist again this morning, I came away with the message that it is they who live in darkness. They who don’t know joy and are free from worry.

Believers can rest in the knowledge that we know we will have our inheritance in heaven. We feel hopeful and peaceful-we aren’t wandering around lost in the dark.

Yet the way to this calm is only through the word of God.

We must spend time in the word daily to listen for what God is telling us, to appreciate His miracles and not just take them for granted. We have the light of the holy spirit in each of us, it is genuine-not fake.

I was hoping to attend with my friends Julie and her husband Larry after finding out they attend as well, but I didn’t know they leave early to go to Sunday School. She said I could get a ride next Sunday, but we are leaving Friday.

It will be nice though, to be home and be able to worship God in the place I’m accustomed to; Bear Creek Bible Church.
