Monday Madness

Well, hello fine people and how are we doing today?

I started the day as usual, God first, exercise next and there I was, walking along on a numb right foot, yet I kept plugging along. Don’t know why it keeps doing that, but maybe I should alert my doc at the VA here before we leave, ya think?

We are pained to see all our friends leaving, couple by couple, but we will have a little company til the end of the month. Carrie and Rick, Andrea and Marc, Harm and Dawn, and Amanda will be around as long as we will. The UpStaters, as Carrie calls them, three couples traveling together from upstate New York, are leaving in one week. We said by to Ted and his wife this morning.

It’s part of the deal in this lifestyle. Sad but true. Usually, we are one of the couples out last part of March, so we don’t experience the slow torture we are now. Right now, we have no concrete plans. I told friends back home that if the spring storms keep rolling through, we may not be home in May either! That didn’t make them happy, but safety first!

I’m hoping my sister, Barb and her hubby Frank have time to fit us in for a beach trip or something before we go, but I have to wait to hear from her because she is still working. She said she does want us to do something at least once more, plus now I have her birthday gift I want to give her. ☺️

I hope your Monday is joyful and not filled with madness but if it is, take a breath, think positive and know its all gonna be ok!

    1. Yes sir, every morning I do my personal study.
I’m 22 verses into Genesis. I’ve already read the NT, now I’m reading the old.

  4. So what happens when everyone leaves.? Does the park just close for the Summer?

    1. No sir, the few that remain have to suffer the intolerable heat and humidity on their own I guess. There are no planned activities, games, or exercise classes. They swear that the park is at 50% during the summer, but I bet its lower than that. At least they always have the pool!
