SoCS -WP Prompt Duo

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “straw.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

What sacrifices in life have you made? (WP prompt)

Lets tackle the word press prompt of the day and in the middle I’ll answer Linda G Hill’s prompt.

I would say that one of the biggest sacrifices I have made is of my time. I have given my time to volunteer in various places at many times in my life.

When I was caring for my dad, I felt like I had to be over there all of the time. I was causing issues at home yet I think David understood what I was going through.

When he started falling, that was the last straw and I moved him in with me. Most of you know the rest of the story, but I regretted the move. Once he passed away, I was filled with guilt that I’m still not over.

Woah, I didn’t mean to go all Debbie Downer on ya, but it can get dark real quick if I’m not careful.

I have company coming for dinner today and it’s going to get chaotic very quick! Naz talks very loud and doesn’t realize it, so everyone is talking over each other to be heard. She is always in the phone speaking in Portuguese to her sisters. No matter what anyone else is doing. Its rather comical, and I would like to say something but how to do it tactfully. 🤷‍♀️

They just arrived, so I’m outta here!

Enjoy your weekend!

    1. Yes ma’am, its been non-stop, but n a good way. I’m not exhausted, but my body doth protest. Bubba gave me some new vitamins he’s talking called NAD that I’m trying, we will see if they can replace my arthritis medication since I never got it. The VA never even called me back on Friday. I’m about tired of fighting them.

      1. Good luck on the medical front. I can certainly understand your frustration with the VA. You deserve better than that.

      2. Thank you, Anne. I was just discussing options with David. None of them are attractive.
In addition, the dogs need attention, and so does the bus. David will tend to his medical at the end of the month. Say a prayer, we figure all of it out before our next trip out.
