The Sunday Message

Open Bible with beautiful sunset

First off, I want to apologize for all if the mistakes made lately; misspellings, abrubt endings, etc. Due to my editor not allowing me back in to correct them.

With that said, let’s dive back into Proverbs and learn about the Tangled Web.

It was Walter Scott who penned, “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive.”

Proverbs 20: 1-30 speak on not falling into certain traps because of our own bad judgement.

(I find that so many of the Proverbs say the same thing as others, so not to become overwhelming, I try to only write down the fresh sounding ones.)

The first group of Proverbs Pastor John spoke on were (2, 3, 5, 6-8, 11-16, 18-19, 21, 24-30)

I. Godly Truth Can Prevent the Consequences of Bad Judgement.

Whatever your feelings are on what the president did yesterday, he did what he thought was right.

”Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisors.” Proverbs 24:6

Maybe he sought his advisors before he made the decision to drop the bombs on Iran’s nuclear facility. I hope so and in my humble opinion, it was the right thing to do. He warned that they must not have nuclear capabilities.

Getting back to the sermon, the next set of Proverbs he focused on was (1, 4, 9-10, 17, 20, 22-23)

II. Godly Truth Can prevent the Consequences of Sin.

I encourage you to look up and read each of these Proverbs in Chapter 20
