I Have My Blog Back – SoCS

For such a simple life, we sure do have some complicated problems sometimes! All I did was change my browser to Duck Duck Go, and suddenly, I could not post on my blog anymore!

Also, being back in Dolores means being in the canyon again, so we have connectivity problems, even with Starlink. One good thing happened though, we went straight to the library and go Yellowstone, season 5 part two. Omg, I never wanted that show to end. 🥹

Being in such beautiful country, I can totally relate to being in love with a place. Of course there was hundreds of years of history behinf the story of Yellowstone.

Back to my blog, I changed things back like they were and now I can once again post! Such a simple fix!

Today I played with my paints while Dave was off fishing down the river somewhere.i tried my new pearlized paint. I love it. Now, this was just a practice run, but I’ll show you the simple effect of shimmer in and out of the right light.

This is on sketchbook paper. Next time I will try it on a canvass. I just need to order some of that stuff you prep the canvas with first. At Walmart yesterday they wanted almost $13 for a jar of it and I don’t need that big a jar.

Here in Dolores, at our RV park, we have a huge activities room that is always empty, so I was all alone to create and not be interrupted. Such a simple pleasure. Can’t wait to do it again!

    1. Thank you, Anne. Its fun to do something I like for my mind to wander as I work in a place uninterrupted.
Honestly, I think its good for David to go off fishing A-line for the same reason. We spend 24/7 with each other almost. We both need some alone time to think and process and just “be”.

    1. Thanks, Ernie! I kind of like the effect from the pearlized paint, but I need more practice and I’d like to do another one in regular paint colors as a comparison.

I want to work another painting using regular colors as comparison. When I do, I’ll share. 😉
