The day before yesterday, Dave interrupted my not-yet-formed-plans for the day by asking if I wanted to join him on the golf course. Well, heck yeah I did, forgetting whatever I had been thinking.
My thought process was, I can paint, read, write, whatever, any day, but I don’t get to spend a day with my husband doing what he likes to to very often. Plus, I just love driving him around the golf course, watching not only his progress, but taking nature shots.
Golf courses are well-designed marvels, if you think about it. Usually, there are also beautiful trees, plants, water features, and animals. Ducks, geese, frogs, other kinds of birds, depending on the region. Take a look at the gallery showing Dave and his partner Dave, plus other interesting nature shots.

Of course, we have the beautiful mountain ranges around too, even though they are a bit clouded by smoke from the Stoner Mt fire, and several others nearby. It was a good day and we had a nice time.
The next day, yesterday, I spent the day in such pain, I wondered what was going on. Maybe it was spending the day sitting in the golf cart, but I got up and out and walked around a lot, because I was already starting to hurt. My stretches helped temporarily, as did everything I tried to ease the pain.
Today I woke up in excruciating pain, but Dave went to play golf…after making sure id be alright alone. So I had an idea, that if I put ice on-like I did in the beginning of all this mess-maybe that would ease the pain. So I did, and then I decided to do one of my indoor workouts. I did it no problem, but I noticed it still hurts with certain movements.
David breaks every rocking recliner he’s ever had, and I traded mine with his so he could continue to rock. I put a cushion from the bed in it, thinking if I sat on that, I wouldn’t “fall in the hole” but recently, I ordered a wheelchair cushion that should work better. I don’t know if its because I’ve been sitting in this crooked chair, or what. Did I slip another disc? Idk. All I can do is decide to push through the pain like I have been doing.
On a different note, we met and had a talk with our next-door neighbor. His name is Mike Edwards and he asked if we were believers in the course of our convo. We said yes we were and he said that we were standing in solid ground. It was the opening he needed to tell us about this book he wrote. He gave it to me to read, I gave it to Dave to read and u downloaded the free e-book version so I could see it better.

Now, I know he wont mind me sharing, because he made me promise to read and share. The one person I really want to share it with is Josh, who will be less than receptive I’m sure. I’m hoping by the end of the book, ill know the best way to approach getting him to read it. This book is free, only the audio book is not.
Once you take a look, you will see that Mike has written three other books. How cool is it that this guy is our next -door- neighbor? A godly man, an acclaimed author whose book has been used in prisons and has been translated into many languages.
