Today was my follow-up with Dr Lo, who I’m thinking right now is my hero!
How long I’ve been waiting for relief and next Tuesday, I’m finally going to get it in the form of some different, targeted injections. This could be the fix, or just step one. Either way, I will get some relief immediately if they work like past injections have.
In addition, he’s giving me back my Tizanidine, a mild muscle relaxer I was on before that the VA doctor took away. It worked so well! I reminded him that I was using medical marijuana in microdose levels and he said I can still take them. Yea!! He had no idea about the Texas CUP program (compassionate use program) and that where my medication comes from is not the same as legal dispensaries in other states.so he learned something too!
On my way home, my pain doctor from Florida called to check on me, which I thought was so nice! He was so happy to hear that someone is finally going to actually help me, he just kept saying “feel better!”
Dr Lo listened to all my notes and “complaints” and hearing that I have also had issues in the thoracic region and prior neck surgery, so he also ordered more MRIs. This guy is definitely on the ball!
I might still end up with a non-invasive type surgery, but all these tests will let him know what and where to treat and that makes me feel so relieved. 🙏
Praise God, my prayers have been answered.
