Praise Jesus!
Praise Jesus for two reasons this morning.
First, I’ve found a sneaky way to at least write a post if nothing else.
Second, we visited a new church (new to us) and I feel like this is where I’m supposed to be. It’s called Trinity Baptist Church and it was the most welcoming church!! I think half the congregation as well as the pastor welcomed us before church ever started!
Its small and therefore not overwhelming with to many programs to join, groups to get involved with, etc. There’s a few things going on and I can handle that. In fact, I’ve already signed up for an event happening on May 2 where we will learn how to make sourdough bread and get a lesson while we do it!
This morning the actual message was on Fear Over Faith and was based on Numbers 1-10.
God had led the Israelites to the promised land. They were right there! They saw proof when the scouts they had sent to investigate came back with a branch laden with grapes. It was fruitful. It was a land flowing with milk and honey, just as God had promised.
But then the bad news that the people were strong and might try to drive then out had them doubting God and they even wished they could go back into bondage in Egypt. How is that possible? How could they have seen all the miracles God had done and not trust him?
Fear makes us do it even today. We have to let go of the fear and let God lead us to follow His plan. I can testify that when you do that, your life will become much calmer. When you have “eyes for eternity” you can relax and let Jesus drive the rest of the way. Stop telling Him where to go. He knows the way, he designed the plan for your life!
Stop letting fear hold you back. Give your life to God and then relax and watch as he showers blessings upon you.
Thanks for being here, my heart is so happy!
