She thought as the car plunged to the river below.

Surely, she surmised, God would be surprised,

If by accident, she failed to show.

Although she’d been saved, had she done enough,

To enter the Pearly White Gates?

She hoped and she prayed, her life would be saved,

If not, that her soul made the grade.
