Cause you don’t get one without the other.

Ive been a little busy lately, trying to perfect things that take more time when what I need is more patience. After venting (ranting and raving) to Dave the minute he got home last night-poor Dave- I did the same through text to our teacher and fellow church member -Jennifer. She told me making sourdough will teach me patience in the end.

The same goes with the Zentangles.

Now that I have “official” Zentangle cards, anything done in a sketchbook or workbook is practice. 😉

Second loaf of sourdough is brown and delicious, but still wrong. Dough was to sticky to form a loaf, I just got lucky it baked nto one. It’s heavy and dense, yet soft and holey inside. Practice and patience will make it better next time. I evidently didn’t let it ride for long enough. This time I used 00 bread flour and organic dark rye. The flavor is much better.

Darntermites arestill coming in. Last night was bad but still not as bad as the first swarm. Nothing to do but clean and vacuum daily til they are gone.

Its foggy many of the mornings here. It’s also been cool… 60’s until afternoon, then 80’s.

The dogs have given me a scare twice this week, ant take my eyes off them to long. Don’t tell Dave. He’d kill me if he knew Brandy had wandered near the street.

I finally got to go to lunch with my duplex neighbor, Myranda! She took us to Lucy’s (they also play mahjong there) and I had my first piece of crawfish pie and a salad. Yum, yummy! I got to know a little more about her but forgot to take a picture. She’s almost half my age, she has an important job at the port of Beaumont, guiding ships into the channel. She and boyfriend Kevin have been dating for three years, yet have known each other since school. They aren’t routine church goers, but do attend once in a while. I invited her to join us sometime.

Of course I remembered to photo the food. 🤣😂
