I seem to be having all kinds of technical difficulties this morning, like trying to join in on the fun over at Feline Friday-I can’t figure out her instructions to add my pic of my kitty, I joined the Mister Linky thing, created a new post and put my kitty picture in, but it keeps putting the code in the picture and we don’t want that!
Yesterday, I was trying to do my daily Three Things Challenge, I reblogged it like I saw someone else do, then wrote my story. Now, I have both his and mine on the same page, UGH!!
Having to write things is one thing, following tons of different challenges with all their rules and codes is stressing me out. Maybe I should just stick to what I know. 🙂 Just thought I’d share that with all of yall. Thanks for letting me rant!
Take a deep breath…lol. I am commenting on this one, but I have read your other post.
For your first “problem”– when you reblog something, you are posting a snippet of that post on your site. So, basically what you were doing was adding your story to theirs…both would be on your site. Simply pingback…no need to reblog anything unless you want to have your followers read something (I do things like this as a shout out on my site). Solution to this problem–pingback in your post, don’t reblog with your contribution attached
On to your second “problem”–this one I will not touch on whether they should promote script usage, because free bloggers cannot modify their pages that way. Now, the script you copied and pasted is appearing on the page for two reasons…one you left off some of the script, so it has no opening < and command which means the computer doesn't know what the heck you are trying to do. IF you want to use their script, you need to do so through the HTML screen rather than the VISUAL screen. If you go to the host's Feline Friday page you will see the Mister Linky's Magical Widgets box…that is what they are asking you to include in your post. The links above it change when more people post their stories. Since you are not a free blogger you can do that.
Here is how you do it…Once you have written your post (but before publishing it), click on HTML (its right next to visual) and scroll down till you see the end of your post–BEFORE all the closing brackets. Anything with a / in front of it is a closing bracket. Copy and paste the code in between your post and the closing brackets. Hit preview and you should see it on the screen. Then you can publish from there.
Personally…I think pingbacks much easier and allows everyone to participate, but that's just my .02 worth.

Thank you so much, I feel better now. I’ll consider that and review how to do ping backs from now on. 😊
