JusJoJan 01-17-24 Curious?

Well, it’s day seven in the challenge, you can find the rules and prompt here!

Are you curious to know how last night went? Just a little bit maybe?

It was so much fun! Never mind that I couldn’t drink or dance. The band was awesome! They were called Hurricane Breeze. They had a fabulous female lead singer. They sang a mix of country, rock, and pop.

The company was our new friends Joe and Judy, who with other acquaintances made the evening so much fun, although I was horse by night’s end having screamed to be heard over the music. We sat on benches at the back of the room (which got painful by the end of the night) and shared stories and pictures, and watched all the brave and really talented folks brave enough to get on the dance floor.

Later in the evening, they had all of us veterans come up to the dance floor, took our photos, and sang Proud to be an American, which made me cry.

Dave had a great time too, and I hope that was the icebreaker he needed to get him to come out more.

Even though generally people don’t know what’s happening with me, they all thought it was “great that I was getting out and around.” Let ‘em stay curious, I say. Maybe I’ll be the one back on the dance floor one day -although it won’t be here.

And now, here’s a few memes I found on curiosity.

That last one is my favorite.

  1. I was curious about how evening was! I knew that no matter how much pain you were in you were going to figure out a way to enjoy yourself in public! There is a reason for everything and God works all things together for the good… Don’t forget that! I am so glad that Dave enjoyed himself! I think that he knows that you need that extra help right now and you are the extrovert in your family and he loves you and will do whatever to make you happy! In the meantime by doing things for you he ends up enjoying himself!! This is a win win! So exciting that you got to do this! And that you got to meet some people! The band sounds awesome!

    1. They really were and I’m not just saying that!
Yes, I was just writing about how grateful I am for that man of mine! He’s a good egg and I don’t know what I’d do without him. We met Joe and Judy the night before when they stopped by our place. We were sitting outside and they were on their way to the dog park with Cody, their Shitzu. So cute!

    1. Aww, thank you! I’m enjoying the daily prompts and just the exercise of writing every day. Sometimes it’s boring old news.
