Alternative Living

I’m obsessed with tiny homes! Being in a community of them sounds like a dream to me!

What if, some day in the future, we tire of this lifestyle and want a forever home? My thought is this would be a perfect replacement! Dave doesn’t agree yet, but I can work on him a while, lol.

This one I shared is in North Carolina, not too far from where Anne Mehrling lives. Near Asheville is what the host says. I also had thoughts of another blogger who lives by herself in an apartment.

One if the things I love about RVing is meeting the people in different parks and resorts along the way. It’s a real community that is friendly and helpful. They watch out for each other, sharing ideas, and helping when they see people in need.

A tiny home community would be so much like that. Sure, it has some restrictions, and we’d research what is and isn’t allowed on each person’s lot. Besides, if we can live in 40ft of living area, a tiny home would seem plenty of room. Some of them are so creative and innovative with their storage solutions, pet spaces, and garden spaces!

Most of them cost about the same as a mid to large size RV. As popularity grows, I’m sure that will change, so we would need to decide relatively soon…in the next 1-5 years maybe.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this for anyone who might be interested. They can be found all over our country as well as others!

  1. I could see The Mister and I RV’ing in the future. We would love that. And I think tiny homes are so cozy and cute. Hope you’re able to work on Dave so he agrees. 😀

    1. Thanks! I don’t know why he is so close minded and negative sometimes. They are way bigger than the tiny space we live in now, plus normal houses cost rise every year, why not get something more affordable in an area you love? Seems like a win, win to me!

  3. A tiny home in my latter years, (less house cleaning but disciplined organisation and putting things away in its spot) and living where there is a community feel, sounds like a dream to me too. 🙂
