Needing Prayer Warriors

Tragedies happen every day. I know you all have your own stories or happenings in your life that you need prayer for too.

My friend Bruce had a stroke last week, and I’ve been praying that he recovers-he also has pneumonia -that once he is over that they can clear the huge blockage in his artery.

This morning, as if that wasnt bad enough, my friend Julie called to say she was not going home to see her mom as planned, but got rerouted to Vancouver, Washington. Her son Josh was in a motorcycle accident and is in the hospital. We don’t know the extent of his injuries, but mama is running to him anyway, just as we would if it were one of ours. Someone entered his lane of traffic, and I’m assuming knocked him off the road.

I do know one of his knees is all but gone, but thank God he was wearing a helmet, so hopefully his head is alright.

If I could ask, I’d appreciate your prayers for both of these friends, and anytime you need me to pray for you and yours, I will. I hate to be such a Debbie Downer, yet these things are occupying most of my thoughts. I’ve prayed and will continue to do so. You can bet I’ll be reporting the news as soon as I hear it. 🙏

  1. I learned this early one morning on my week to work rounding a sharp bend to see a car heading directly towards me. They came off too fast off the highway and just narrowly missed crushing my car by a foot. I said my prayers that morning and found a new route the next week.

      1. Now, I teach VE (Varying Exceptionalities) and I have a behaviorally challenged student who will ask me and an Aide everyday “Did you pray today?” It always for several reasons freaks me out!

  7. Will do so for your friends! Dad is going through a hard time as he is having really thin-skin. He has bruises on his arms because the skin is bad, and he bleeds and the like that wrecked the lot because he is on blood thinner. His knee of course is bothering him! I blame myself at times for I know that he would get something done if it weren’t for me. We don’t have anyone to care for me!! Because the trust of people these days he does not want to get someone from the outside. He will not just ask Carol or Terri! He didn’t say anything to me and I do not say anything to him.

Dad is going with Bryan tomorrow to the doctor to have his blood pressure check. It has been too high and he is scheduled for surgery. He was actually supposed to go for surgery on the 9th but the day before they took his blood pressure and it was too high. He is on blood pressure medication, but I guess it is not controlled yet. He fell a few weeks outgoing and jarred a couple of ribs and scarred his pancreas. They are scheduled to take out a little of the pancreas that is scarred. If they leave it he will eventually become diabetic.

    1. Oh no! I will pray for Bryan that he gets his health matters in control! I’m sorry about your dad’s thin skin and for you’re situation in general. You remember, we talked about all that way back when I was taking care of you. You are going to have to bring up the subject soon and discuss it seriously. If his health goes down, you will be stranded. I pray you both have the strength to make the decisions that need to be made very soon!! 🙏
