Blessed Sunday everyone!
I am taking a break from the traditional Sunday Message today although I attended church online today as well as did my own daily Bible study. Pastor John is back, praise God, after his 8-week sabbatical. He and his wife just got back from a trip doing the entire route 66.
We started a new book, Colossians-yet it sounds exactly like what I just got through studying in Acts where Paul is traveling to different areas preaching the gospel to not only Jews -some believing, most not, and the gentiles. He was spreading the message that God is truth, He loves you no matter who you are, whether or not you are circumsized, or the color of your skin. That he gave His life through His son Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins, and if you simply believe and turn your life over to Him, you will enjoy everlasting life.
That was really the point of the first verse of Colossians, and that he was explaining exactly who and what Jesus is.

I changed the header image to show you all exactly where we are located, in case there was any confusion. We went into Mancos after church to see what they had at their local grocery store and visit the Family dollar. Spendy little trip! We grabbed about five or six things, dog treats, peanut butter, lip gloss, head & shoulders, bbq sauce, paper towels, trail mix and it was $31.14
The grocery store was worse. Ridiculous pricing on everything from cereal to bacon, which we refused to get. We’d rather make a trip to Durango this week and hit up Walmart. We did get a few items to make a basic salad, milk for David ($4), saline nose spray, and two cases of water.$13.26 was the total, but imagine if we’d gotten all the items we wanted.
We also at lunch while out at La Mesa Mexican Restaurant. $70 w/tip. Not bad for a drink each and food. I know, I know. I said once a week, but really, it was just sangria. Lots of fruit 🍒 in it. Probably better for me than a tequila margarita.
Seems like every time we get out to do anything (anywhere, apparently) its going to be about $100 or more. I’ll be so happy when groceries come back down to normal prices for the summer.
Have a pleasant Sunday everyone! The temperature here is about 72°, after a chilly morning at 46°. I hope its nice where you are! Thanks for reading, following, and comments make my day!!
Remember: We are all human, but God loves us and our flaws. Go spread the good news!
