Yes, I Can

Today Linda prompts us with “can.” Let’s see how we do.

As Dave practically drug me up the hill in the last part of our walk yesterday he kept saying, “You-can-do-it!”

Every part of me was protesting due to pain, and sitting, but I pushed on and realized that “yes I can” attitude carried me the rest of the way. I have to admit, I had to stop at our designated place to take a breather.

I’ve not been getting up and around as much until yesterday the two days prior. Boredom, fatigue, whatever. I really have to push myself lately to get it done.

I can and do care about how my tiny home on wheels looks inside though, and this morning my mind is on the trash cans. We have four in the house, but I still think we need one outside too! For cans and bottles when Dave drinks outside in the evening sometimes. They take up so much room inside that I prefer they go out.

However, in our experience, they blow away in the first big wind. No matter how we secure it…because we have to buy the collapsible, nylon trash cans for storage purposes. They are only heavy when loaded with cans and bottles. If empty, the velcro holding it tour our steps just won’t hold up in a strong wind.

So I’m pondering that.

I also can surprise Dave every once in a blue moon, and I’m hoping he likes his latest! I bought him a new lightweight, waterproof pair of hiking shoes, because this terrain is murder on your feet if you don’t wear proper footwear. They were a good price and a good brand so I pray he loves them! I wear mine ever time I’m walking outside for a distance.

Lastly, I can dream, and right now I’m dreaming of easier days (and hopefully busier) when we get to Dolores. I’m ready for flat terrain, less rocky and more gravely and even, and a town full of surprises for me to discover!

Just a few days away now! Come on August!!

One more thought before I go, I’m bragging a bit, but last Tuesday, I won two- almost three games of Mahjong at game day! Had I not made the rookie mistake of not picking up the tile I needed for Mahjong when another discarded it, I would have won three. I can play the game and I can live and learn from my mistakes!!

  1. I read this earlier and liked it but WordPress wouldn’t let me comment from my phone.

I hope things, especially the terrain, are better in Dolores. Happy Saturday I hope you have a good weekend.

  4. I am very interested in doing training map consciousness, and I like the word can. Have something in my mind that I already “can” use, LOL! How can I get started by using it to go to Linda G Hill so that I could possibly get more readers? I am so so proud of you were pushing forward and for not giving up. I am proud of Dave for having the positive attitude toward you. It is a win-win! I am glad to see you wanting to try new things in your RV and for the outside of it.
While I am it my friend pinky wants to know just how you can edit it a comment a comment from a post that you accidentally tonight not want? I think that she made 2 comments because after she looked at the one she made another. I do not even know if you saw them because she was writing to tell you and my other friend who commented. I do not know how to edit a post that you already sent by looking at the post that I’m sending to you.
