Getting Things Done

After I got a shower this morning, we took our ugly mugs out to the bus 🚌 to see if Dave could install the new back-up camera after removing the old, black and white one. That one worked when it wanted to.

He did the wiring and installed the bracket on the rear of the bus. I mugged for the camera to see if power was going to it and yea!! Success!

Somehow he saw me even though the camera wasn’t pointed in the right direction, but that was all he needed to know its working. He has some adjustments to make to actually install everything correctly, but getting power to it was the main goal.

Now we have replaced the stereo, and the camera, so we won’t know how to act having new things that actually work properly! I’m so thrilled that these things are off the to-do list and things are coming along.

On the medical front, not so much. 😩 I’ve waited all week for a call back from my VA -GP being that I’m out of my arthritis medicine. I was going to tell her when she called that I’d also like to be seen since I have a new issue I need to discuss. I guess I’ll call them back Monday, after I go to the dentist. I had tried to call them mid-week but no one would answer!!

Dave said he’s waiting until we get back to Florida because even though their VA Hospital is kind of antiquated, we were taken care of well and properly! They have their process, slow as it is, but once you are in and appointments are set, things fly right along.

While at the bus, I searched high and low for a pencil and sharpener, found the pencils but not the sharpener. 🙄

I’m doing an art project, but needed a pencil to draw the gnome before I paint it. If he turns out right, his cute little mug is going to my friend, Kaye, as part of her birthday present.

I busied myself with reading blogs and calling another friend to set up a lunch since we haven’t seen them in a while. When Dave is working on stuff at the bus, it can get boring for me with nothing to do. I went for moral support this time, but many times, I stay at Kevins and do my own thing.

We have something to look forward to tonight, so it will be good to relax with friends and see a band in the process at a long-time favorite place called Broncos. An ex-football player that Dave and Bubba went to school with runs the club.

Lunch for me was at A&W’S and it was a sad thing to drink that delicious root beer without a frosty mug. 😜
