Apple Watch Woes

I just finished the process of getting my Apple Watch unpaired and turned off Find My so I can send it in for repair!

What a headache! First, you must find your watch on your phone. Ok, then, you must turn off Find My so you can unpair it, which I thought I did.

Oh! Before all that, you must choose the method for turning in the watch.

  1. Drop off at an Apple Store near you
  2. Drop off at the nearest UPS store

I chose UPS store and continued the process.

Now, the iPad told me my watch was unpaired, but after I paid the exorbitant battery replacement fee, I got a message saying Find My was still on! 😡

I did the whole process (which included changing my Apple password) again, to no avail.

Next, I tried the entire process again from my phone.

I think I got it done, but who knows??? All I know is that it’s definitely unpaired, but if Apple gets it and there’s a problem, I going to tell them to keep the darn thing, its too much trouble!

    1. Yes. I wonder if ANDROID users have as many problems as APPLE users do!

      1. Each platform has it’s own pros and cons. I have family members who have Android phones.

      2. I imagined that. I noticed that David doesn’t spend much time begging me to change to Android- probably because I’m now in a two year contract while he pays off this latest phone!

    1. Hi Raj!

Apple has its watch line, just like iPhones and iPads, and the battery on it went bad, so I have to turn it in to the company for replacement. They run around $2-300 dollars here in the US. It will sync to your phone and do things like count your steps, let you see calls and messages and even respond right from the watch! I call it my Dick Tracey watch, lol.
