I know, I’ve been absent for a few days, but wow! I’ve been busy! So much to tell you about, I’ve had to sit with it for a minute. So here I go!
Tuesday, Ru and I went for a fun trip to Jupiter Medical Thrift Shop where one of our residents, Mary, works. We got our money’s worth and more at this cute little store.
I scored about 6 tops, and a large flannel styled shirt to wear on cool days made out of a silky fabric -sporting a gorgeous open design on the back. Three summer tops and two spring tops and I payed around $25! I love a good deal!
I need to photograph the overshirt later. I also spied some jewelry I wanted but didn’t buy, reason for a trip back. After our shopping fun, we went to Papachulos and I had the experience I missed the first time.
I ate a barbacoa taco, some yuca fries, and a delicious mocktail that cost more than my lunch. Wth? There’s NO alcohol, how can that be? But when I saw the cute little flower that came in my drink, I didn’t care anymore. The lunch special meant each dish was $3.75 and the strawberry basil limeade was $8!

On our way home, we got caught in a downpour, yet we were gabbing so much, we hardly noticed. The extremely busy traffic was rather annoying, but whatever.
Wednesday was our shuffleboard game, and don’t forget, I’m doing walking class every morning as well.
Thursday afternoon, Lisa rolled my hair for me and with a new confidence, I was ready for anything. Later that evening, we went with our group to sit around the fire, listen to requests by Ru, and talk amongst each other for what seemed like hours.

Today was supposed to be the Scavenger Hunt, but we had other plans, as it is the beginning of David’s birthday weekend celebration. Oh the surprise we have for him! He is clueless so far! Anyhow, we took off to run around all over the streets of Jupiter, Juno, and Tequesta.
Dave took me back to the thrift shop and messed around with me n there for a bit. I showed him some of the earrings I was looking at, and he bought me a pair! They look like darling little jellyfish! I also grabbed some cheap sunglasses and off we went.
We covered the Surf Shop, kind of scouting a sun hat for me and whatever struck Dave’s fancy, peeked in Walgreens but I didn’t want another t-shirt, so we walked down to the Italian Ice place. Bummer! They were closed, so we drove down to Juno Beach and took a couple of photos.

Actually, I skipped something.
Lunch at La Bamba’s!!

What a great time just messing around, and a delicious meal to boot! We also swung into Aldi so I could show him their prices on meat, and I picked up some salad greens and flavored ICE brand waters. Last stop, the Dollar Tree to replace some lip and eye makeup.
Hang on a minute here! Why was I getting treated when its Dave’s birthday weekend?? Believe it or not, I think it gives him joy to buy me things sometimes, because I urge strongly that he should get stuff too and he always refuses. I’m so glad I talked friends into buying his birthday gift, so I wouldn’t get caught. (we have a joint Amazon account)
Once the cat’s out of the bag, ill tell y’all how it went! Btw, its going down tomorrow! His birthday is Monday, and its going to rain all day, so we had to improvise in the planning. 😉
