Last night, we gathered with our friends for one last hurrah by the campfire before Ru and John and Jimbo and Susie left today. There was probably 20 of us sitting around in the electric atmosphere watching a campfire burn.

We were entertained by nature’s splendor as lightening from approaching storms lit up the sky. We conversed with each other, and tried our best to get the still images of lightening as John tended the fire.

Ru said to video the lightening and then take a screenshot, but I was unable to do it. I tried and tried. I wish I could share the video but I still don’t know how.
In two more weeks, another bunch will leave. It’s going to get pretty quiet and lonely around here, especially with the lack of planned activities. We always have the pool, and whatever we dream up together until then last of us leave at the end of the month.
Then it will be just us, which is fitting, since that’s how we started after all. On that note, we went running around Jupiter and West Palm Beach today and lunched at Sabor Latino Restaurant. I had chicken and rice, Latin style with salad and plantains. Dave had shrimp tacos and we both enjoyed a frozen beverage.
I found a birthday present to give my sister -even though its not until June 10- because I won’t be here. In another store I found myself a new workout top that is loose and airy. It is getting very warm and super muggy now. Summers here are brutal I hear.
Dave was shopping for shoes until he wasn’t. He isn’t a good shopper nor is he patient to wait while I search for the perfect gift. Yet we enjoy being together whatever we are doing.
