Dallas Wins Again!

We have graced our friend Gary’s with our presence two days this week to gather, eat food, fellowship, and cheer our team on!

You don’t go there without expecting to be fed, so instead of a food donation, we slid him some dough for all the food he’s been contributing to the cause.

His new lovely outdoor kitchen/entertainment space is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and well-designed. It must have cost him and his partner Maria a pretty penny.

Want to have a look? Here is a gallery of pics I forgot to take Sunday, Mother’s Day, with a couple of new faces in the bunch. Enjoy!

Go Stars!!!

Wendy was a new face for me to meet last night, and so was Gwen whom I’ve supposedly met before. (not pictured)

Sunday night was even better because we won 5-2

Plus, it was our reunion with Bubba and Naz, Dave’s brother and his wife for those new here.

Gary and all of our friends are looking good and feeling well.

We had taco Tuesday food and it was all deliciousioso! Tacos, enchiladas, taco casserole, chips and dips! Twice a Margarita has been offered and twice denied by me, the pain the next day even from one is too much and not worth it.

Sunday’s fare was chicken and ribs with all the fixings. The cheesy potatoes were so yummy! A great replacement for potato salad.

There now, you’re all caught up. 🤗

In other news, Dave has already plowed ahead with repairs; fixed the leveling jack and ordered parts for the air conditioner.

Weve made several trips to the bus, brought things back, cleaned up the jeep, and Dave made a template for new kitchen counters. Just now he made an appointment for his checkup, a regular physical with bloodwork, and to be able to receive his medication.

I’ve queried my doctor and I’m waiting for a response. I need them to get me the doctors I need here as well as when I’m in Florida. I don’t know the status of my new primary, so we have much to discuss if I can get in while we are here.

Next thing on the agenda is Julie’s Shrimp Boil which we are attending on Thursday afternoon. I’ve a lovely donation of Wes’s hot sauce and a recipe for chicken wings. But I promised I would bring a snack in case we play chickenfoot later.

Friday night we will be back at Gary’s for game four and Saturday everyone will be here at our house. Ahem, i mean Kevin’s house!

    1. Yes we are. Even Dave-which is surprising. It will settle down when his brother has to go, but we are enjoying the time with him right now!

    1. Made better by friends, some of whom we also knew from Bass Camps. Lets just say they had what I needed to feel comfortable while there. 😉
I felt slightly annoyed however, when I was told that my new sister-in-law doesn’t want to learn English, when I’ve been studying my buns off to try and learn hers!
I’ve been ‘sitting’ with that revelation since.

  4. That is a beautiful back yard I love the flag, the outside kitchen, and the sitting area! We would be out there all the time! Yes, we have a friend who goes to all the games. I am so happy that Dave has been able to fix the repairs on the bus, I pray it continues!

    1. Thank you. He went out there today to fix the fan, but ordered the wrong size, then found out they don’t make one in the proper size. That means he will have to fabricate one.
Once we fix that, we need to work on the cabinet that the tv was in…the one that popped out while we were driving down the road?
Then, finally, we can start working on some new countertop like Corian. I hope that gets done because we have warped Formica.
